SOILWORK Singer: 100 Shows And Counting

SOILWORK vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"We have three shows to go on this tour, the bus is getting close to stink worse than you ever can imagine, still we've had an amazing tour... We got stopped by the police on the border to California and they searched through the whole bus for drugs, I tell you: poor dogs!! I don't even think the dogs would have found a bag filled with 20-pound cocaine in there.. We couldn't possibly [have] found a better band to share the bus with DARKANE though, since we come from the same little town we had a lot to talk about during the tour...

"You also might know that we got an award on the Danish Metal Awards as the best international act which of course was really cool since we were competing with acts like SYSTEM OF A DOWN and THE HAUNTED. So, a big hail to the people voting for SOILWORK!

"Bill Ward from BLACK SABBATH came to watch our show in Anaheim and got his own reserved seat on the balcony. He came to the dressing room after the show and said he loved the set and praised Dirk's drumming... Thanx for coming out, Bill!!

"In Anaheim we also celebrated the 100th show for the 'Stabbing the Drama' album since March when the album was released.. More to come..

"Also a big hail to MESHUGGAH drummer Tomas Haake for joining the 'Bus-diving-party' in Anaheim. I'm surprised we didn't break the bus in half....

"Other than that, keep the SOILWORK tattoo pics coming, i know there's a helluva lot more pics to be sent to our site..."

SOILWORK's latest CD, "Stabbing the Drama", is available now on Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Figure Number Five" was recorded at Fascination Street studios in Örebro and Dug-Out Productions in Uppsala, Sweden with producer Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES, STUCK MOJO).
